DESCRIPTION:The “Shred It To Protect It” event is back this spring! \nThe 2024 Spring event will be held at the Western Henrico Government Complex (4301 E. Parham Road) on Saturday\, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please enter the government center onto Prince Henry Drive. Follow the signs and do not leave your vehicle. \n \nView PDF of flyer. \nDocument Shredding Information\n\nPersonal documents for shredding are accepted at no cost. Please place these items in paper grocery bags or boxes ONLY.\n\nAll other containers will be handed back to the citizen.\n\n\nEach citizen is limited to two full boxes (10”x13”x18”) OR three full paper grocery bags.\n\nPlease remove – all paperclips\, binder clips\, 3-ring binders\, bound books\, metal spirals in notebooks\, file folders\, plastic sleeves\, etc.\nPersonal documents only!\n\n\n\n Call Henrico Police at (804) 501-4838 for more information on document shredding. \nElectronics Recycling Information \nElectronics that are accepted free of charge: \n\nMonitors\nComputers\nPrinters\nComputer Peripherals\nAudio/Stereo Equipment\nVCRs\nDVD Players\nVideo Cameras\nPhones\nFacsimiles\nCopy Machines\nWireless Devices\nVideo Game Consoles\nKitchen Appliances\n\nCosts for certain electronics: \n\nCRT TVs\, 27 inches or less: $25\nCRT TVs\, 28 inches or more: $35\nLCD TVs\, 46 inches or less: $20\nLCD TVs\, 47 inches or more: $30\nProjection TVs: $30\n\nItems that are NOT accepted: \nCompact fluorescent light bulbs\, refrigerators\, dehumidifiers\, AC units\, and other items such as clothing or batteries that are not considered an electronic. \nNOTE: Do not place electronic items in the bags or boxes with your shredding items. This will jam the machines. Electronics recycling is separate from the document shredding.
