DESCRIPTION:Receive free rapid HIV testing and health information Thursday\, April 9 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the East Center Henrico Area Mental Health and Developmental Services building\, 4825 S Laburnum Ave.\, in Conference Room 118. \nThe event will begin with a presentation from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine’s Rob Rodney. He is the director of the HIV Education Program at VCU\, and is excited to share recent medical advancements in both the treatment and prevention of HIV. Attendees will also be offered free\, fast and confidential HIV test results from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. \nThis event is presented in partnership with the Minority Health Consortium\, VCU HIV Education Program\, Doing It RVA and Henrico Area Mental Health & Developmental Services.

DESCRIPTION:The Henrico County Police Division will host two information sessions on internet crimes against children in April. \nIn 2024\, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received more than 546\,000 reports of online enticement worldwide. \n“Behind the Screen” is a Henrico Police Special Victims Unit (SVU) initiative focused on providing information to parents\, guardians and caregivers to protect children in a digital world. \nThese information sessions are scheduled for: \n\nApril 9\, 2026\, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Deep Run Recreation Center (Ridgefield Ballroom)\, 9900 Ridgefield Parkway; and\nApril 14\, 2026\, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Eastern Henrico Recreation Center (Strawberry Hill Ballroom)\, 1440 N.
