DESCRIPTION:Henrico is celebrating Bike Month! \n*Please note\, original plans have changed due to the weather forecast! \nIn the Libbie Mill Library (1st Floor Meeting Room): \n5-7 p.m.: \n\nStop by to learn about cycling safety and pedestrian infrastructure improvements with Public Works\, H.E.A.R.T.\, Blue Ridge Cyclery\, and Recreation and Parks.  There’ll also be a Safety Pledge to sign as well as materials to make a “safety pizza.”\n1115 Mobile Kitchen will be serving food for purchase outside by The Pier.\n\n7-8:30 p.m. \n\nFollow along on a “virtual bike ride” with Public Works and Bike Walk RVA to learn about upcoming bike lanes and trails to the Libbie Mill area.\n\n\nCan’t make it?  Check out more Bike Month events here or come to a future HenBIKEo Safety Workshop: \n\nJuly 8 at Short Pump Middle School in partnership with Henrico County Public Schools.\nSeptember 9 at Belmont Recreation Center in partnership with Bike Walk RVA.\n\nYou can also look forward to HenBIKEo\, a new Recreation and Parks special event\, on September 20 at Crump Park.

DESCRIPTION:Henrico is celebrating Bike Month! \nFrom 5:00-7:00 p.m.\, join us for a HenBIKEo Safety Workshop:\n\n\nOn The Pier at Libbie Mill\, learn about road use safety and Henrico County’s infrastructure improvements from Public Works and Recreation and Parks with giveaways\, a Safety Pledge\, and crafts.\nIn the Libbie Mill Library parking lot\, kids can develop their cycling skills with the Bike Police.\n\n\nAfter the workshop\, Blue Ridge Cyclery invites cyclists of all ages and abilities on a ride with Public Works. Starting from and ending at the Pier\, this supported group ride will have 1.5-mile and 7.5-mile options with five stops. Representatives from Public Works and Bike Walk RVA will present on upcoming bike lanes and trails.\n\nView the route (The 1.5-mile option turns around after the Bethlehem Road presentation.)\n\nThe ride will depart promptly at 7:00 p.m. with the 7.5-mile riders returning by 8:00 p.m.. Helmets and front and rear bike lights are required by law.\n\nCan’t make it?
