Sweet Scents – the History & Science of Perfume Making

Did you know the first European perfumer in the New World arrived at Jamestown in 1608? Did you know that historical perfumes were not just for smelling good? Join us to learn the history and science behind the process of perfume making. You’ll hear some juicy tales about key figures in history and their insatiable quest for fragrance. Join living historian, Rebecca Suerdieck, as she demonstrates how perfume was made in the past.
