DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in becoming a foster parent? Please attend the Henrico County Department of Social Service’s  information session to learn how you can support local children and their families. \nRepresentatives from Social Services will review eligibility requirements\, resources the county and state will provide to foster parents\, the different ways you can open your home for youth in foster care\, and more. \nTo attend this free virtual information session\, please register online. \nWe are in need of families for all ages\, especially: \n\nYouth aged 12 and older.\nLarge sibling groups (2 children or more) – you must have room to accommodate the children.\nFamilies that can care for young children (aged 0-4) who cannot attend daycare for one reason or another\, including\, but not limited to:\n\nNewborns (too young/not eligible for daycare);\nMedical needs (child needs to be stabilized before he or she will be able to go to daycare); or\nChild has experienced trauma thus transitions/multiple caretakers need to be minimized.\n\n\n\nPlease visit our website for more information: https://henrico.gov/dss/foster-parenting/become-a-foster-parent/
