DESCRIPTION:July 4\, 2026\, signifies the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence (July 4\, 1776)\, which also marks the 250th birthday of the United States of America. So large a birthday\, it could not be contained to one day! We’re having a two-day celebration at two different parks. \nFriday\, July 3: Dorey Park from 6-10pm \nSaturday\, July 4: Crump Park from 5-10pm \nPlease note: These festivities are intended to be welcoming and fun for everyone. Individuals\, families and groups are encouraged to attend. All children and teens should remain accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian. \nQuestions? Free admission & parking.\n4:00pm: Kids Zone\, History Area & Concessions open.\n5:00pm: Live entertainment begins.\n8:00pm: Kids Zone & History Area close.\n9:30pm: Food trucks close.\n9:30pm: Laser Light Show begins.\n\n*Please note: The finale is a laser-light show set to music. There are NO fireworks.* \nThere will also be a Hot Air Balloon display presented by Henrico Federal Credit Union. \n \n\nStage Performances\nThe main stage will feature entertainment from the following performers: \n\n5:00pm: JTucker & The Krewe.\n6:45pm: Justin Golden with Devil’s Coattails.\n7:45pm: Henrico County Welcome.\n8:00pm: Richmond Symphony with Desiree Roots and Goochland Virginia and Vicinity Chapter of the Gospel Workshop of America.\n9:00pm: Richmond Symphony.\n9:30pm: Richmond Symphony with Laser-Light Show.\n\nEmcee: Mike Goldberg. All activities are free! \n\nMiss Sheri the Clown\nCreative Faces Face Painting\nJonathan the Juggler\nUncle Sam on Stilts\nEdwards Entertainment Photo Booth\nAstro Jump Bounce Houses\nHoop Richmond Basketball Arcade Game\n\n\n\n\nHistory Area\nIn celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary\, the event will feature a variety of demonstrations and interpreters in the history area from 4-8pm. \nHistorical figures who will be interpreted include:\n\nMarquis de Lafayette\nBetsy Ross\nJohn Adams\nAbigail Adams\nThomas Nelson Jr.\nRichard Henry Lee\n\nWe will also have interpreters portraying African American soldiers and civilians\, as well as reenactors from the 64th Regiment (British) and the 7th Virginia Regiment (American). \nFiring demonstrations will be conducted at 6 and 7pm to show the loading and firing procedures for Revolutionary War weaponry. \nWe will have several additional demonstrations and displays. Guests will need to walk a short distance to the main event area. Accessible restrooms will be available.\n–Lastly\, take a group photo before you arrive. If anyone gets separated\, it can help staff quickly identify them and reunite you all.
