Henrico CASA seeks volunteers to serve as child advocates

Henrico County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) will hold virtual information sessions at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 and at noon Wednesday, Aug. 25 for people who would like to learn about volunteering to work in the court system on behalf of abused or neglected children.

Henrico updates masking requirements for county buildings

Effective Thursday, Aug. 12, all individuals are required to wear a face covering inside Henrico County buildings and facilities. This requirement is for visitors as well as employees, regardless of their vaccination status.

This requirement is based on recent recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Richmond and Henrico Health Districts. It is made in light of the local spread of the delta variant of the virus and a recent increase of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in Henrico and across the region.

Henrico to offer $10 rabies vaccinations for pets Aug. 14

The Henrico County Police Division will provide rabies vaccines for dogs and cats from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Henrico County Government Center, 4301 E. Parham Road.
