Easier access to Build Henrico system coming April 16
Users will no longer have to maintain a password and provide it whenever they log into their accounts. Instead, they will sign in each time using a one-time passcode that is sent to their email address. Users will need to set up their logins the first time they use the system's new format.

3 Henrico students to participate in 2026 National Speech and Debate Tournament in June
Glen Allen, Hermitage, Highland Springs and J.R. Tucker high schools are among the host sites for preliminary rounds of the tournament, which will culminate at the Altria Theater and Greater Richmond Convention Center.

HEART awards Community Impact Grants to 9 nonprofits to promote environmental sustainability
In its second year, the program is providing grants from $1,500 to $5,000 for initiatives that include pollinator and community gardens, native plant cultivation and outdoor education.

Short Pump Park’s new mural reflects on local history, from Pocahontas to the handle that named Short Pump
Untitled Mixed Media painted the mural on decorative walls that were installed in 2018. They originally included mosaics that focused on coal mining and other aspects of the community’s history and evolution. Those have been moved to the park's picnic shelter.
