Henrico County is served by over 350 bus stops, many of which do not have shelters, benches, or ADA-compliant accessibilGRTC Route 18 Shelterity. In coordination with GRTC, Henrico County is actively working to improve bus stop conditions Countywide. Approximately 80 bus stop projects are underway to install proper boarding and alighting concrete pads, bus shelters with solar lighting, benches, and trash receptacles.

Average costs for improvements:

  • Concrete Pad with a Bus Shelter Installation: Start at $42,000
  • Concrete Pad with a Bench Installation: Start at $28,000
