Woodman Road Improvements

Magisterial District:   Brookland   Fairfield  

The County of Henrico is proposing to improve 1.75 miles of Woodman Road to provide a four-lane divided roadway between Hungary Road and Mountain Road. The project includes turn lane improvements, a shared use path, and sidewalk along the corridor. Pedestrian crossings with push buttons and count down timers will be provided at each signalized intersection.

Estimated Schedule

• Design is underway.
• Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin in 2027.
• Utility relocation is anticipated to begin in 2028.
• Advertisement for construction is anticipated for 2030.
• Construction is anticipated to begin in 2030.
