Henrico County’s Solar Access Henrico program was recently awarded an Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties. Solar Access Henrico provided over 200 households with solar energy at no cost to the homeowners. Homeowners whose household income was at or below the area’s median income level could qualify. The program helped Henrico residents reduce their energy costs while advancing the County’s goals surrounding sustainability, which includes expanding access to clean energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The program is fully enrolled and is now closed.
