The Henrico County Advocate for the Aging’s Office is pleased to announce the Brain Health and You! Conference being offered for older adults and caregivers in the Henrico community.
If you are a Henrico County resident aged 60 or older or a caregiver, and you want to learn about keeping your brain healthy and active, then come to the Deep Run Recreation Center on April 19th, 2022, from 10am – 1pm. There will be educational presentations in the morning from 10am -11am, and then the event will transition into a vendor fair with resources for seniors and caregivers related to dementia prevention and dementia care.
Presenters will include Sharon Napper from the Alzheimer’s Association and Dr. Faika Zanjani from Virginia Commonwealth University. We will have over 20 vendors ranging from Adult Day Centers, Personal Care Agencies, Respite Programs, Caregiving Support Programs, and much more! We will also be offering brain health screenings at the event to see if individuals are at-risk for cognitive decline. All attendees are entered to win raffle prizes!
The Brain Health and You! Conference will occur on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, at the Deep Run Recreation Center (9910 Ridgefield Parkway, Henrico, VA 23233).
