The Henrico County Police Animal Shelter will hold an adoption event on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 10421 Woodman Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
Our shelter is nearing maximum capacity, and our goal is to find homes for the animals currently in our care so that they can start their next chapter with loving families! We have cats, dogs and a guinea pig currently looking for homes. The William A. Harrison Jr. Foundation, Furbish Thrift and Henrico Humane Society have sponsored the spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs. Due to the generosity of these community partners, many pets are available for a $10 adoption fee and are ready to go home with their new families on the day of the event.
Adopting a pet is long-term commitment, and one that we think is so worth it! Please talk to our staff if you need any recommendations on finding a veterinarian, groomer, or other animal care services.
People interested in pet adoption will need to bring a photo ID and must be 18 or older. A collar and leash or cat carrier are suggested for your convenience but are not required for bringing your new pet home.
You can see all the pets available for adoption ahead of time through our PetFinder and AdoptaPet pages.
