The Henrico County Office of Voter Registration and Elections will register voters for a free photo ID to help them meet new requirements for voting in Virginia.
Voters will have to present an acceptable form of photo ID at their polling place before casting a ballot in the Nov. 4 general election, under a Virginia law that took effect July 1. Acceptable forms of ID include a Virginia driver’s license, a photo ID issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles, a United States passport, an employee photo ID, a government-issued photo ID and a photo ID from a college or university in Virginia.
Voters also may register for a free photo ID at the Office of Voter Registration and Elections’ locations at the Henrico Government Center, 4305 E. Parham Road, and the Eastern Government Center, 3820 Nine Mile Road. The offices are open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
