Free event will offer tips on safe driving, home weatherization and more

The Henrico County Department of Outreach & Engagement and partners will host a Winter Emergency Preparedness Event on Tuesday, Jan. 21 to help residents prepare for the cold, snowy and icy weather of winter.
The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Fairfield Area Library, 1401 N. Laburnum Ave. Outreach & Engagement is presenting the event in partnership with the Henrico Office of Emergency Management & Workplace Safety, Dominion Energy, AAA and Virginia Bureau of Insurance.
Topics that will be covered by various experts include:
- Preparing for a winter weather emergency;
- Safe driving during winter conditions;
- How to weatherize your home for cold weather; and
- Managing homeowners and renters insurance after a winter storm.
