The Henrico Civilian Fire Academy (formerly the Citizens Fire Academy) began in 2000 as a public education program for the residents of Henrico County. The Academy is held on Thursday nights for 8 weeks. Highlights of the Academy include rappelling, driving fire apparatus, learning CPR, vehicle extrication and much more.
The Civilian Fire Academy program is returning in 2024 after previously being halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period. The Henrico Civilian Fire Academy welcomes individuals who are 18 years of age. Henrico County employees, residents, and non-residents are welcome.
