Land Records – Secure Remote Access to Land Records
Access to Henrico’s Land records is maintained by a service provider, Logan Systems. Access is by subscription only and granted by the Circuit Court Clerk. Subscribers are assigned a valid user name and password. Upon receipt of an application and subscriber agreement by the Circuit Court Clerk, the application may be approved and forwarded to Logan to set up a user account and grant access to the secure remote land records system.
Please Note: According to Virginia Code § 17.1-279(D)(1) “…The clerk may require any entity that is a nonresident of the Commonwealth, prior to becoming a subscriber, to demonstrate that such entity is authorized to do business in Virginia and is in good standing with the State Corporation Commission or other applicable state or federal regulatory agency and that such entity will comply with the secure remote access standards developed by the Virginia Information Technologies Agency pursuant to § 17.1-294. In the case of an individual, the clerk may require a person who is a nonresident of the Commonwealth to demonstrate that such person has a legal presence in Virginia and will comply with the secure remote access standards developed by the Virginia Information Technologies Agency pursuant to § 17.1-294.”

Heidi S. Barshinger, Clerk of the Henrico Circuit Court, is now offering Remote Access to Case Files (OCRA – Officer of the Court Remote Access) for attorneys who are interested in viewing cases filed in 2014 forward without the need to physically visit the courthouse. The subscription fee is a rate of $150.00 per year, per attorney, and $50.00 per year for each additional attorney or staff member supervised by the attorney.
