Volunteers sought for COVID kit assembly

Henrico needs assistance Wednesday, Aug. 19 assembling COVID care kits with reusable face coverings, hand sanitizer and pandemic safety information. The county is partnering with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management to distribute several thousand kits throughout Henrico later this month.

Volunteers can be 8 and older and can choose a morning or afternoon shift. Participants will be required to wear a face covering; accommodations for social distancing will be in place. Snacks and water will be provided.

Kits will be assembled at Deep Run Recreation Center, 9900 Ridgefield Parkway. Get more details and sign up at HandsOn Greater Richmond.
