Henrico County polling places will look and operate differently on Election Day.
Because of COVID-19, voters will see social distancing, both in line and between voting booths. Poll workers will be wearing face shields and masks. Voters are encouraged to wear them, too. The pens used to mark ballots will be sanitized after each use. Voters can also bring their own black ink pens if they choose.
For the first time, drop boxes will be available at each polling location for voters who wish to turn in their completed absentee ballots. Voters will not need to wait in line to return an absentee ballot at a polling place. Absentee ballots are due by 7 p.m. Election Day.
Voters also can return their absentee ballots to the drop boxes at the Western and Eastern Government centers until 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, Nov. 3, the polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
