COVID‐19 Municipal Utility Relief Program provides financial assistance to Henrico residents with delinquent utility bills

Henrico County will use federal funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES ACT) to help residents pay delinquent utility bills. Customers whose water and sewer bills are more than 30 days past due because of an economic hardship from COVID-19 can apply for financial relief.

The delinquent charges must be for water and sewer use between Mar. 1, 2020 and Dec. 30, 2020. Residents who qualify can apply online at henrico.us. Applications are also being mailed to Henrico County Department of Public Utilities customers.

Applications must be received by Friday, Jan. 22, 2021. They will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Customers with questions or who need help completing the application should call Public Utilities at (804) 501-4275.
