E. Laburnum Avenue Sidewalk Improvements

Magisterial District: Fairfield

The County of Henrico will be constructing sidewalk along E. Laburnum Avenue. The following improvements will be constructed, including:

Approximately 1,450 feet of 5-foot sidewalk with ADA ramps on the north side of E. Laburnum Avenue between Mechanicsville Turnpike (Route 360) and Bolling Road..
The installation of approximately 1,200 feet of curb and gutter and associated drainage structures along this road segment.
Install transit amenities (concrete pad and bench) at each of the two GRTC bus stop locations.

Estimated Schedule

Design began in May 2018.
Right-of-way acquisition was completed March 2021.
Utility relocation was completed July 2021.
Advertisement for construction was September 2021.
Construction is anticipated to begin June 2022.
Project completion is anticipated for November 2022.

Progress to Date

Posted notice of willingness to hold a public hearing on July 2019. No comments were received.
