Sadler Road and Sadler Place Intersection Improvements and Nuckols Road Turn Lane

The County of Henrico will be constructing the following improvements: 

• Approximately 900 linear feet of roadway improvements along Sadler Road and 300 linear feet of roadway improvements along Sadler Place. 
• Realignment and reconstruction of Sadler Road for the proposed intersection and turn lane improvements at Sadler Road and Sadler Place and turn lane improvements at the eastbound approach to the Nuckols Road and Sadler Road intersection. 
• Improvements include 500 linear feet of shared-use path and 400 linear feet of sidewalk along the south side of Sadler Road. 
• Approximately 700 linear feet of an extended right turn lane, 5-foot wide sidewalk with a 2-foot grass utility strip will be built along with ADA compliant ramps along the westside of Nuckols Road between Sadler Road and Cox Road. 

Estimated Schedule: (Month Year) 

• Design is underway. 
• Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin in the 3rd Quarter, 2024. 
• Utility relocation is anticipated to begin in 2025. 
• Advertisement for construction is anticipated for 2026. 
• Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026. 
• Project completion is anticipated for 2027.
