With her November 2023 election to the Board of Supervisors, Misty D. Roundtree is serving her first term as supervisor for the Three Chopt Magisterial District.  She serves on the Capital Region Airport Commission, PlanRVA Commission, Board of Social Services, Local Emergency Planning Committee and Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission.

Mrs. Roundtree is the founding attorney of JustLaw, PLLC. She serves as a guardian ad litem for children and incapacitated adults and as court-appointed counsel for indigent defendants in Henrico. She is a 2023 recipient of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s Influential Women in the Law award and a 2024 recipient of the Women Who Drive Richmond award. She is a member of the board for Justice Forward VA. She also is a member of Lyric Ave, a performance collective.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mrs. Roundtree earned a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and received her Juris Doctorate from the Marshall Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.

The meeting was open to all residents and included representatives of the County Manager’s Office, County Attorney’s Office and Department of Public Relations.

Three Chopt Chats - April 7, 2025: Three Chopt District Supervisor Misty D. Roundtree will host a Three Chopt Chats constituent meeting to discuss the state of housing in Henrico County, including affordability initiatives, real estate assessments and more. The meeting also will highlight the county’s participation in the federal Community Rating System, which allows residents to save on the costs of flood insurance.

Announcement of Henrico's proposed budget for FY25-26 - February 25, 2025: Henrico County officials announced details of the proposed budget for fiscal year 2025-26, during a meeting at Fairfield Area Library. The budget would reduce the tax rates on real estate and personal property, delivering to residents and businesses the county’s most comprehensive, permanent tax relief in nearly 40 years. In addition, the budget would continue to strengthen Henrico’s investments in education and public safety; advance capital projects, including those identified with the voter-approved 2022 bond referendum; and provide an initial allocation of $50 million to make the county’s utilities system stronger and more resilient. Announcement of Henrico's proposed budget for FY25-26 - February 25, 2025

Richmond Strikers kick off construction of offices, futsal courts, other amenities at Striker Park: After a decade of discussion and planning, the Richmond Strikers kicked off site work for $5.5 million in improvements to Striker Park, which include a new office building, storage space, locker, training and meeting rooms, two outdoor futsal courts and an additional 55-space parking lot. Construction is expected to be complete in fall 2025.

Henrico announces 1st communities set for Affordable Housing Trust Fund program: A pair of townhouse communities are expected to be the first residential developments to qualify for Henrico County’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund program. Twenty-five units in the Parkside Townes community and five in Discovery Ridge will soon be available to first-time homebuyers who meet household income and other program requirements. On Oct. 29, officials with Henrico, the development companies and others announced the plans at Parkside Townes, a 123-unit townhouse community under construction by HHHunt on Whiteside Road in Sandston. Discovery Ridge is being built by Mungo Homes at Gayton Road and Lauderdale Drive in western Henrico. The Board of Supervisors established the trust fund, effective July 1, with $60 million in previously unbudgeted revenues from data centers, one of Henrico’s fastest-growing industries. The nonprofit Partnership for Housing Affordability (PHA), which is administering the program, developed its criteria with Henrico’s Department of Community Revitalization and in September began accepting project applications. On Oct. 25, a review committee gave conditional approvals for Parkside Townes’ and Discovery Ridge’s inclusion in the program. Formal agreements are expected to follow.
