Apply for a Park Event Permit
Thank you for your interest in holding an event in Henrico County! We look forward to working with you to ensure that your event is safe and successful.
A permit is required to hold outdoor events on park property and approval must be given before events can take place. Events may be held during regular park hours; parks are open daily from dawn to dusk year-round.
Recreation and Parks employs full-time staff to guide you through the event planning process. The first step in the permitting process is to fill out the below online application. After the application is submitted, a Henrico County Recreation and Parks staff member will reach out within five business days to secure an available date at the preferred park, then the permitting process will begin. Larger scale events require more permitting time than small, seasoned events.
Event scope is assessed by expected attendance, impact on public park use, equipment needs, and various event components including but not limited to entertainment, vendor fairs, and food trucks.
Liability insurance is required for park use. Specifications can be found here.
