Youth Conservation Leadership Institute
Youth Conservation Leadership Institute offers high school students interested in environmental conservation and stewardship an opportunity to build leadership skills and connect with local mentors involved in environmental issues. Students are required to complete an environmental project that addresses local environmental concerns and needs in Virginia.
Through our mentorship program, students will learn about advocacy and outreach while networking with other environmental agencies on issues facing their community.
High school students with a strong interest in natural resources conservation and related fields are encouraged to apply. To find out more and to get a 2024 application, contact the office at (804) 501-5175 or [email protected].
Congatuations to our 2023 YCLI student, Nikhita S. Nikhita installed a raised bed native plant garden at Crump Park. Our thanks to Recreation & Parks for their help!
