May 13, 2026 at 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

HenBikeo Safety Workshop. Chicken with helmet inviting you to the workshop.

Henrico is celebrating Bike Month!

From 5:00-7:00 p.m., join us for a HenBIKEo Safety Workshop:
  • On The Pier at Libbie Mill, learn about road use safety and Henrico County’s infrastructure improvements from Public Works and Recreation and Parks with giveaways, a Safety Pledge, and crafts.
  • In the Libbie Mill Library parking lot, kids can develop their cycling skills with the Bike Police.
After the workshop, Blue Ridge Cyclery invites cyclists of all ages and abilities on a ride with Public Works. Starting from and ending at the Pier, this supported group ride will have 1.5-mile and 7.5-mile options with five stops. Representatives from Public Works and Bike Walk RVA will present on upcoming bike lanes and trails.
View the route (The 1.5-mile option turns around after the Bethlehem Road presentation.)
The ride will depart promptly at 7:00 p.m. with the 7.5-mile riders returning by 8:00 p.m.. Helmets and front and rear bike lights are required by law.
Can’t make it? Check out more Bike Month events at sportsbackers.org/rva-bike-month or come to HenBIKEo, a bike festival with a cyclocross race on September 12 at Crump Park.
