While SNAP recipients have begun to receive a portion of their disbursements, families and food banks will need a few weeks to recover from the federal government shutdown. Community members can help their neighbors during this recovery period (and prepare for the holiday season!) with continued support for
Feed More.
Join state and local elected officials as they gather canned goods to benefit Feed More for a food drive Saturday, Nov. 15!
Donations of canned goods can be dropped off between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:
– Gee Law Firm, 4719 Nine Mile Road
Feed More has a
list of most needed items, including nut butters, canned proteins, canned soup and vegetables, tomato products, and cereal.
A reminder: Please do not donate items in glass containers, as they break easily. Low salt or low sugar items are especially helpful!
