LEED

About LEED:

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. LEED is a standard that design and construction project teams can apply to create healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED provides a concise framework of both mandatory requirements and optional strategies related to the building site, water use, energy use, materials and resources, and indoor environment.  Depending on the number of strategies implemented, projects earn certification at one of four levels: Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum.

LEED Libraries:

Henrico County has five LEED-certified library buildings.  Each LEED library has a public dashboard showing project information and actual energy data.  Links can be found at https://henricolibrary.org/about-us/#leed.
