Lakeside Avenue Bike and Pedestrian Improvements

Estimated Cost: $4.5 million
Start Date: 2027
Estimated End Date: 2029

Magisterial District: Fairfield

The County of Henrico will be constructing improvements along Lakeside Avenue from Brook Road to Fairway Avenue to improve safety and increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including:

Traffic calming measures
12-foot shared-use path on north side of road
5-foot sidewalk on south side of road

Design is underway Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin 2025. Utility relocation is anticipated to begin 2026. Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin 2027. Construction is anticipated to begin 2027.
