Henrico Park Application for Food Trucks

The Food Truck Application is now closed for 2025. The application for 2026 will be available January 5th, 2026.

Henrico County Division of Recreation and Parks is offering a new service for park visitors.  Mobile food vendors now have an opportunity to provide food services to customers in selected parks.  Authorized mobile food vendors will contribute to the park environment by offering specialty food items, affordable menu selections and premium customer service. 

Thank you for your interest in providing a food truck to serve at Henrico County Parks. The Food Truck Vending Permit for parks is valid June-October.  An approved permit is required to sell food on park property. Once the application is completed, consideration is based upon a professional display, uniqueness, quality product, and conducting business in a professional manner. Due to limited space in the parks, only a limited number of food trucks will be approved. Only one food truck in the park is permitted each day. Applications will not be considered after May 16, 2025.

Requirements

Henrico County Health Department The Henrico County Health Department requires vendors to carry a Temporary Food service Permit or Mobile Food Unit Permit. These permits can be obtained from the Henrico County Health Department, (804) 501-4529. Please be advised that the Health Department may inspect your setup at the park.

Henrico County Division of Fire Please review the Concession Stands/ Food Tents/ Food Trucks/ Food Vendor Fire Prevention Checklist provided by the Office of the Fire Marshall.

Henrico County Department of Finance A business license is required to sell items on park property. 

Henrico County Recreation and Parks It is a requirement that food vendors provide a certificate of insurance (COI) for at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and the COI must name Henrico County as certificate holder and additionally insured. The COI will be collected prior to the event. Please see the Henrico County Insurance Specifications.
