Colonel T. Montague was born in Fredericksburg, VA and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He joined the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office in 2001. His career at the Sheriff’s Office includes work at both Jail East and Jail West, Security, Booking, and Courts. Prior to 2018 he was a member of the SORT Team. He attained his MBA in Justice Administration from Bluefield University in 2022. The Colonel is a General Instructor, has been awarded the FBI LEEDA Trilogy, and certified Level IV in the Henrico County Leadership Development Program. He is a member of the Virginia Sheriff’s Association and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives. (NOBLE). He is married and has one son.
Chief Deputy C. Pickens enlisted in the United States Army Reserves after High School. She received her Bachelors of Science in Criminology in 1996. In 2002, she joined the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office and worked in Jail Operations, Programs and Services and the role of PREA Coordinator. In addition to her duties as Chief Deputy she also oversee administration for Jail West. She was awarded the FBI LEEDA Trilogy award in 2018 and Henrico County Leadership Development Program Level 5 in 2019.
Major R. Roane is a Richmond native and has been employed with the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office since 2004. She attended Old Dominion University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Her professional accomplishments include completion of the FBI LEEDA Trilogy, general instructorship, Richmond Metro Leadership Academy, and Henrico County All Hazards Incident Management Team. Major Roane has supervised Security, Booking, Programs, and is the Sheriff’s Office ADA Coordinator. She is currently the Major of Quality Assurance.
Major K. Rodgers grew up in Elaine, Arkansas and is veteran of both the United States Navy and Army. He spent four years in the Navy aboard the USS Detroit and 10 years in the Army based in Ft. Eustis, VA and participated in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Desert Farwell and traveled to Somalia for Operation Restore Hope. He joined the Sheriff’s office in 2000 and his career includes Jail West and East Security and Programs and Services. He is certified as a Field Training Officer, General Instructor and Firearms Instructor. He has completed the Trilogy in the FBI LEEDA program and completed The Center for Police Leadership and Ethics flagship programs that include the Three C’s of Leadership and Expanding your influence and understanding self, others, and context. He is currently Major of Support Services.
Major R. A. Jarrell is a native of Richmond, VA. After high school he served in United States Army active duty as a Military Police Officer until 2006 and then the Virginia National Guard until 2015. He joined the Henrico County Sheriff’s office in 2006 and his career includes Jail West and East Security, Booking and Transportation. He is currently the Jail East Administrator.
Major D. Teufert is from Spokane, Washington and has been with the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office since 2006. He received a college degree in machine shop technology. He has completed his FBI LEEDA Trilogy, certified in Crisis Intervention, a DCJS General Instructor, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and enrolled in the Leadership Development Program. Major Teufert has performed duties in Jail Operations, Courts, Booking, PREA, Programs and Services, and administration. He is currently Major of Logistics for Jails East and West
