Creighton Road – Phase II

The County of Henrico constructed the following improvements: Realign the existing roadway from Sandy Lane to E. Laburnum Avenue to a 4-lane divided roadway with sidewalks on both sides of the road along with curb and gutter and storm sewer improvements.  The road realignment relocated the Dabbs House Road intersection approximately 500 feet west of the current intersection, improving the intersection at Sandy Lane, and eliminating difficult to navigate curves in the roadway.

Estimated Schedule

• Design is complete. 
• Right-of-way acquisition is complete. 
• Utility relocation is complete. 
• Advertisement for construction is complete.
• Construction is complete.
• Project completed 12/19/24.

Progress to Date

• A public hearing was held September 2014.
• The Creighton Road Bridge is complete as of March 3, 2017, and open for traffic.
