Henrico County is developing a Climate Action & Adaptation Strategy (CAAS) to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, build community resilience, and adapt to the effects of climate change. The County has already taken foundational steps toward sustainability, improving energy efficiency in buildings, restoring streams, conserving land, expanding access to active mobility options and public transportation, and deploying solar. As part of this planning effort, the County is also preparing a Resilience Plan focused specifically on County-owned assets. These two plans are being developed together to help identify priorities, assess vulnerabilities, and create effective strategies for both the broader community and County operations.
The County needs your help to develop the CAAS! Get involved by taking our survey to share your experiences and perspectives on local climate action and adaptation efforts in Henrico by March 16. This survey should take you 10-20 minutes to complete. https://forms.office.com/r/CEHd4CLedT
