Sustainability Division

The Henrico County Sustainability Division takes action to enhance quality of life, restore and improve natural areas and ecological systems, reduce planet-warming greenhouse gas emissions, and adapt to the changing climate.

Through our programs and activities, we envision ourselves becoming a model for sustainable practices; accelerating the use and adoption of greener technology; ensuring equitable access to greenspace; building and expanding upon community partnerships; and leaving Henrico County better than how we found it. We also aim to provide resources and support to community members, businesses, and organizations as they improve their environmental sustainability activities.
