Description

Fire Station 6, the Eastover Gardens Fire Station, opened at its present location in 1969. Originally founded as the Williamsburg Road Auxiliary Volunteer Fire Department and later renamed to the Eastover Gardens Volunteer Fire Department, the fire station staffing and fire apparatus were eventually provided by the county, where it was designated “Station 16” to coincide with the sanitation district in which it served. Now known as Fire Station 6, it’s one of the busiest firehouses in the county, and home to Engine 306, Truck 306, and Medic 306.
