Non-Consecutive Jail Sentences (Weekends) Non-consecutive sentences (also known as weekends) must be authorized by the Court. The Judge will specify the date and time to report to the Henrico County Jail to serve the sentence imposed. The Judge is the only person authorized to change any portion of a non-consecutive sentence. Most non-consecutive sentences fall over the weekend. A person required to begin the sentence on Friday at 6:00 p.m., for example, would be released on Sunday at 6:00 p.m., unless the Court stated otherwise. This schedule would continue until the sentence is satisfied. The Judge will be notified immediately if a person fails to comply with the Court order. In addition, the Judge will be notified of any individual reporting to the jail under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Alternative Sentencing staff can be reached during normal business hours 8-4:30 M-F @ (804) 501-4576. E-mail your questions to the Sheriff’s Office at [email protected] |
