1. Are home incarceration participants allowed outside in their yards?
Each participant is monitored by an electronic field monitoring unit. The individual cannot leave the confines of his/her house without the permission of the Alternative Sentencing Staff.
2. Are home incarceration participants drug tested?
Each participant, both work release and home incarceration, are screened for drugs randomly.
3.Can home incarceration participants come and go from their homes without approval?
The Alternative Sentencing Staff must approve each participant to leave their residence. If approved for Work Release, a schedule will be set for the participant to leave and enter his/her house each day.
4. Is there a fee for home incarceration and Work Release?
Home incarceration participants must pay a one time $25.00 connection fee, plus $10.00 per day. Work Release participants are required to pay $10.00 for each day in which they are released from the jail to go to work. The fees are paid weekly and may result in removal from the program if they are not paid on time.
