Purpose: To teach children of all races and economic backgrounds from the Richmond area the joy of golf and its lessons in integrity and other behavior skills by providing the opportunity to participate in golf programs; offer access to a golf club where children can be taught the game of golf and be provided equipment, when needed; link junior programs with other children's organizations such as scouting, boys and girls clubs and the YMCA; provide incentives for children to do well in school (financial assistance toward higher education); encourage family together through golf outings; and in general, acquire and administer funds and property, which, after payment of necessary expenses, shall be devoted exclusively to purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(e) of the Code, including the making of distributions that quality as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Code.
