Get cooking for a cause! Youth will learn basic cooking skills, prepare heart-healthy recipes, and explore how nutrition keeps our hearts strong, all while having fun in the kitchen.

Henrico Department of Community Revitalization
Henrico County will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Fairfield Area Library (1401 Laburnum Ave.). Residents are invited to share feedback on community development needs and how federal housing and community funds are used.
A proposed amendment to the County’s funding plan is also available for public review. Comments will be accepted through February 24, 2026. A second public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the County Administration Building (4301 E. Parham Rd.).

Operation Hours | Schedule
- The inclement weather (IWS) shelter operates from November 15 through April 15; this is NOT a year-round shelter.
- During the inclement weather season, the IWS is open from 5:00 PM-8:00 AM
- The IWS provides dinner and breakfast for shelter guests.
- Access to the shelter is on a first-come, first-served basis.
* Persisting conditions may extend hours.
