Welcome to the Henrico County Volunteer Program!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Henrico County. We are excited to connect passionate community members with meaningful opportunities that make a difference across our county.
Volunteers play a vital role in supporting county departments as well as our valued community partners and nonprofit organizations. Whether you’re looking to give back, gain experience, meet new people, or share your talents, there is a place for you to serve.
Our volunteer opportunities vary by department and may include:
- Community events and outreach
- Administrative and office support
- Youth and senior services
- Parks, recreation, and cultural programs
- Special projects with nonprofit partners
All volunteers must complete an application and any required background checks or training prior to placement. Once registered, you will be matched with opportunities based on your interests, skills, and availability.
If you are interested in volunteering specifically with Henrico County Public Schools, please visit the Henrico County Public Schools Volunteer Site to explore school-based volunteer opportunities and begin the application process.
Join us in strengthening our community—one act of service at a time. We look forward to welcoming you to the Henrico County Volunteer family!
