Court-Ordered Evaluations
In addition, when specifically named by a court, the Court Evaluation coordinates and conducts Mental Health & Substance Use Disorders (MHSUD) evaluations for individuals involved in either civil or criminal matters before a Henrico County Court or a court from another jurisdiction (when the defendant/litigant is a resident of Henrico County). Generally, these evaluations are ordered when the court has questions about an individual’s mental health and/or their treatment needs. Please note, these evaluations are general behavioral health assessments that must be specifically ordered by a court and may involve a fee for the person ordered for evaluation. These evaluations are not covered by insurance.
