Communications tell the story of Henrico County through a variety of print, graphic, audio and video productions. Communications collaborates with county agencies and officials to develop and disseminate information and content that promote and increase understanding of general government activities, initiatives and programs. Department services include news releases, news conferences, media relations, photography, graphic design, video production and the web-streaming of Board of Supervisors meetings. Communications operates HCTV and manages the general government’s official social media accounts.

The news page is designed to offer county residents and other users helpful information in a variety of formats, including short videos, podcasts and traditional print stories. It also incorporates the county’s principal X/Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts.
