The County of Henrico Internship Program strives to ensure a balance between the student’s specific learning and career development goals. Internship positions are unique to each department/agency and may be for pay or for academic credit. We encourage students to check each semester for intern positions via iReruitment – please visit the Apply for a Job page for additional application information regarding both internships and employment.

Henrico County’s Internship Program is growing the workforce of tomorrow by developing the skills of high school and college students and their passion for serving their communities as a local government employee. In 2015, the Internship Program earned Best in Category award from the National Association of Counties (NACo) and Best Achievement award from the Virginia Association of Counties (VACo).
