Kinship Program for Foster Parents

A free event for foster parents in the Kinship Program will be offered Thursday, Aug. 20 in partnership by the Henrico Department of Social Services and Henrico County Sheriff’s Office for adults teens and preteens.

Members of the Opiate Recovery Based on Intensive Tracking (ORBIT) program will share personal experiences of addiction, recovery and the criminal justice system in a youth-only session.

The Hidden in Plain Sight initiative will educate parents on possible signs of alcohol and drug use by teens with a staged teen’s bedroom.

Dinner and childcare will be provided.
