Small business and commercial property owners are invited to a Henrico Business Resource Fair from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, 1 All Star Blvd.
The Henrico Economic Development Authority (EDA) and Department of Community Revitalization will host this free event to connect property and business owners in the county with resources for building and property renovations, financial assistance for business growth, safety and security advice, and more. This will be the first joint-agency business fair the county has hosted.
“Investing time and money into local businesses is a direct investment into our residents,” said Cari Tretina, executive director of the EDA. “Running a business can quickly feel overwhelming, but there so many programs available that small business owners may not be taking advantage of to help.”
The open house fair will include a short panel presentation, with local business owners sharing how they used resources for their own companies.
“Having successful small businesses is an essential part of a thriving community,” said Community Revitalization Director Eric Leabough. “The county is continually interested in supporting businesses’ ability to prosper. The fair will offer a unique opportunity to connect businesses with a variety of resources to help them thrive and grow in Henrico.”
In addition to representatives from Henrico EDA and Community Revitalization, members from the departments of Finance and the Permit Center will be available to speak with attendees. Information on business licenses, the Enterprise Zone Program and Henrico Investment Program will also be provided.
Several regional partners will be in attendance, including the Capital Region Small Business Development Center and Virginia Small Business Supplier Diversity.
