Medication Assisted Substance Use Treatment
The office-based addiction treatment (OBAT) program provides clinical services (individual therapy, group therapy, and peer counseling) and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals seeking to change their relationship with substances. Free Naloxone and Revive training is provided. Eligible participants are also able to receive Hep C treatment. MAT options available to program participants include buprenorphine (Suboxone), naltrexone, and more. MAT is prescribed and monitored by doctors and nurse practitioners who work with program participants to develop a personalized medication plan. OBAT prescribers do not offer psychiatric medication management services, but referrals to psychiatry services are available for eligible participants. Requests for MAT appointments are prioritized and appointments with prescribers are generally available within 48 hours from admission. The OBAT program provides each participant with a multidisciplinary treatment team and care coordination services. Certified Peer Counselors are available to support individuals in our OBAT Program by sharing their lived experiences of recovery. These services are available at 2 locations:
- Richmond Medical Park: 2010 Bremo Rd., Henrico, VA 23226 | (804) 727-8920
- East Center: 3908 Nine Mile Rd., Henrico, VA 23223 | (804) 727-8100
Please note that methadone is not offered in the OBAT program.
