Septic Pump-Out Assistance Program

Thanks to funding from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, eligible property owners may have their septic systems pumped out at no cost to them!

Type of assistance

This program provides funding for septic tank pumping and waste removal. Inspection, repairs, and other services are not included.

Eligibility

Property owners in Henrico County must meet the following requirements:

  • Their septic system must not have been pumped out in the last 4 years.
  • Their household size and annual income are within the limits described below:

2 $72,650
3 $81,750
4 $90,800
5 $98,100
6 $105,350
7 $112,600
8 $119,900

 

Other Considerations

  • Please black out ALL social security numbers on accompanying documents.
  • Funds are available for a limited time and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The income limits shown are subject to change by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
  • Annual income verification is required by Henrico County.
