May Henrico Police Hiring Event

Henrico Police is hosting a hiring event on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Henrico County Training Center (7701 E. Parham Road).
This is an opportunity to learn about our agency’s role within the county which includes providing innovative and collaborative police services for a safe and thriving Henrico.
We are currently hiring for our 88th Basic Police Academy (BPA) and 18th Modified Police Academy (MPA). New police recruits have a starting salary of $64,038. Virginia DCJS and Out-of-State certified police officers may be eligible for a higher salary depending upon experience.
WHAT TO BRING:
If you plan on attending the job fair, please bring two of the following items with you:
- Driver’s License
- Passport
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
You’re also encouraged to bring your highest level of education transcripts and any other applicable document with you.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We will be offering on-site preliminary interviews at this event! There will also be an opportunity to take part in the Physical Agility Test, which is a requirement in our hiring process. Candidates are encouraged to wear workout-appropriate attire if they plan to take part in the physical agility test at the event. Please review the video here on how to prepare for the physical agility test.
There will also be a handful of personnel from the Division’s specialty unit on-site to answer any questions you may have about the opportunities for career advancement within the Police Division.

HOW TO ATTEND:
There will be a message board at the complex entry point. Park in the available parking spaces within the complex. Please scan the QR code upon arrival.
