Volunteer Opportunity: Taylor Farm Park Community Tree Planting

Henrico Recreation & Parks, HEART, and Capital Trees is teaming up to plant trees. No experience is necessary
Volunteer Duties
Volunteers will help plant 21 trees at Taylor Farm Park, increasing Henrico’s tree canopy and enhancing biodiversity in the park. Volunteers will assist with removing burlap casings, placing trees, and filling in mulch rings with the help of Capital Trees and Henrico County leaders. No experience necessary; this is a great chance to learn best practices for your own home!
Requirements
No gardening experience necessary, but ideally volunteers should be ready to:
- Bend, squat, kneel, and /or stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 20lbs
- Use hand tools such as: trowel, shovel, etc
- Be comfortable working outside
- Please bring a refillable water bottle
- Closed-toed, sturdy shoes
- All other materials, including gloves, will be provided.
