Henrico Health Department to offer free flu vaccinations Oct. 23, 25

The Henrico County Health Department will offer free seasonal flu vaccines to the public Oct. 23 and 25 at four locations throughout the county.

Clinics offering walk-up service will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Mount Vernon Adult Education Center cafeteria, 7850 Carousel Lane; Oakland Village Apartments Community Center, 1400 Old Bronze Drive; and Essex Village Apartments Community Center, 117 Engleside Drive.

A clinic offering drive-up and walk-up service will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at Dumbarton Elementary School, 9000 Hungary Spring Road. The clinics are open to residents and nonresidents of Henrico.

Injectable vaccine will be available to individuals age 3 or older on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Anyone receiving a shot should wear short sleeves or other clothing that provides easy access to the upper arm.
